Cabinet Appointments

Mr. Greenspon has made it clear that he wants a clear open knowledge of what his Administration will be about, and who will do the work of the American public. To that end, he makes the following admission when it comes to the development of a Cabinet to serve the American people.

  • First, no person will be considered for a Cabinet position that is currently an elected official for any State or Federal Office. "I will not submit to the Senate any name that is currently in a position of authority from the State or Federal electorate. You've already been elected to serve the people in some capacity. I won't act like a thief in the night, and rob the people of their elected officials. Finish your term."
  • Second, no person will be considered for a Cabinet post that is remiss in paying their State or Federal debts - including campaign costs, if a candidate for office they failed to win. "If a Cabinet Secretary can't handle thier own finances, what make us think they can be trusted with "America's full faith and credit"."
  • Third, there will be no consideration of anyone who has been in political office or served as a lobbyist within the past seven years. "We need people to helm this great Republic's Executive Agencies, that are willing to take off running, not bring baggage from a Special Interest Group into the mix."
  • Lastly, Mr. Greenspon will NOT have any persons as "Czars", "Special Appintments", or "Special Advisors". "The Constitution says the President can receive the opinion from the Director of his Executive Departments. According to my studies, there are ONLY 15 Cabinet positions."

Mr. Greenspon feels that American Cabinet members should have a minimum of 20 years of experience in the field that they will be heading. "We need Cabinet Secretaries that have an understanding of the Agency or its role in America from a the ground up...Unlike Congress I'm not going to appoint someone to a finance position who's only seen a checkbook on a television show - I want someone who KNOWS what red ink means."

Mr. Greenspon intends to post his nominees for any Cabinet position a minimum of 90 days prior to officially submitting a nominee to the Senate. This is permit the American people the opportunity to make their opinions heard as well, in regards as to the qualifications and capabilities of the intended nominees. Mr. Greenspon sees this as only reasonable - since they will represnt the public, the public is entitled to their response.
